New Car!
Interested in a field trip to Stratford? I recently attended the launch of the Stratford Festival's 2007 season--the playbill looks excellent. Find the full story at Mommy Blogs Toronto. Mommy Blogs Toronto will officially re-launch at the end of the month--be sure to check back!
We all slept until 8:00 on this rainy morning (unheard of around here). Pure heaven.
Yesterday was a pretty good day here in T.O. I took advantage of the weather to do some work on the garden: I pulled all the annuals and planted 75 bulbs. I had a good time out there, until I bashed my head on this:
We picked up our new car! The 2007 Honda Civic LX:
They gave us $50 for the old one.
It handles so well, especially compared to our old piece of crap. I love the smell of the car--it inspires me to keep it clean and tidy. Cakes has already been told, no more cheerios in the car.
Gotta go, Cakes and I are goin' cruisin'.

I just realized, I posted the wrong picture--ours is the 4-door. Anyway, you get the idea.

Are you okay?
Congrats on the new car! It's funny, 'cause when I saw the picture I thought, "Wow, a two-door with a kid?" Glad you got the 4-door though.
And is it me or is Peter getting REALLY annoying on Amazing Race? I still like Sarah though.
congrats on the new car - i know the joy of which you speak, but trust me - there will be cheerios on the back seat before week's end.
we just decided that the dustbuster will live in the car.
hope your noggin feels better.
we have a 4-door silver civic.

i hate it. the husband? he loves it. makes him feel strong like bull.
congrats! i love love love the smell of new car.
That had to leave a mark - OUCH! I hit my head on the freezer door the other day while putting away groceries and there is a bad bruise that feel when I pull up my ponytail.
Anyhoo - WHOOO HOO on the new car. A very sweet choice I must say.
Nice Car!
and ouch!
I am TOTALLY interested in a field trip to Stratford!
P.S. By next summer sometime, I may well be living in St. Mary's, which is just a 15-minute drive down the highway from Stratford. How about a matinee followed by BBQ at my house sometime next July or August?
nice ride....
Nice car!!! We have the two door version and it's a great, although now Joe drives that car because it is hard to get Samantha into the back seat with a two door one! But you will love this car!!!
Maybe a glass of wine will help forget about the bump, wink wink!
Congrats with the car. I Heart my Honda. You two hot chicks go cruisin'!
And on the head bashing thing... OUCH!!!!!
My head is actually OK, thanks for the sympathy!
Ali: ours is stick too--I love it. Once you go stick, you never go back.
It was so dark this morning, that I could barely drag my butt out of bed.
Your garden is going to be beautiful this spring!
Congrats on the new car! Hondas are great.
love that new car smell......
Ugh, sorry about your head. But I lurve the car. Very stylish.
Oooh nice car! I bet it has that new car smell too....
Congratulations! I love it!
New car smell! I love the smell of chemicals. They should bottle it up, I would make my house smell like it if I could.
Oh la la Congrats on the new wheels. And you know I am so in for a Stratford Road trip ... I'll provide the wine and cheese this time :)
Oh that's a good looking car! Congrats.
Ow! Glad to hear your head is OK.
I went to the Stratford Festival with my class in 8th grade (grew up a few hours from there in central New York.) It was an amazing experience -- I do hope to get back someday.
