Oh Where Are Our Sunny Summer Weekends!
I just checked the forecast for the weekend and what a surprise, we're looking at more rain. What a shit summer it's been, I feel so cheated. Of course, McHotty's on shift tomorrow, so Cakes and I are looking at a long day. Give me a call if anyone wants to visit!
We did take advantage of last weekend. When we woke up to a sunny Saturday, we decided to head to the island. We stopped at Loblaws for some tetra paks, brie and fruit, and we were off. Of course, every other family in the GTA had the same idea, and the ferry was a screaming mass of hell. But once we arrived, we were in heaven.

We are up to our ears in moving boxes tomorrow, sadly. And maybe going to pick up paint chips. Yes,it's all so glamorous around here... Blech.
Thankfully they were oh so wrong about the weather today! Hope you ended up having a good day! We hit the CNE ...along with the masses of course...but it was fun! Maybe they'll be wrong about tommorrow too...a girl can hope!

Hey it didnt' rain today, it was only humid as hell. That was nothing compared to that ferry ride though I am sure.
I've been meaning to take katie on the ferry ride.
you have to use the secret ferry on days like that. it's to the right of the second cup at the bottom of Bay. i think it's bay. its only a dollar more per person. it's just a little boat, not a water taxi, just a privately owned ferry. ;)
I hope yesterday ended up being fun. This weekend was like a long deathmarch HERE. Awesome.
Here's a wee tip: take the residents' ferry across to the Island--a bit of a walk, but no crowds.
Oh, I wish I could visit! I'm back in San Diego now. And, ahem, we're in for gorgeous weather this weekend. Sorry.....couldn't resist. ;)
