Thanksgiving at the Beach

We’ve conquered another holiday weekend. Cakes had a blast with her cousin. She shared her toys (even Dirty Simon!) She taught him how to colour:

The dinner turned out well. Cakes’ 11-month-old cousin sat patiently and ate everything on his plate, while Cakes ate her cranberries then chucked everything else.

Everyone was gone by Monday morning and we had a nice quiet day alone. It was 32 degrees in Toronto yesterday! We took Cakes to the beach. I can’t believe we spent Thanksgiving day at the beach. Last night we had Mexican and beers in the backyard and then joined the neighbours for cocktails. This is my kind of October.

I can't believe I am saying this, but I prefer the rainy, cold weather today to the 38 friggin degrees it was in Ontario this weekend. I was even too hot to go in the pool. But Cakes looks really cute. Bee was in a similar get-up.

I know, it's crazy, eh? I planted bulbs and gardened in the sweat. Hubby was building our shed without a shirt on. We sat by the pool before eating turkey. Nuts.

gAwd, the weather is killing me. I keep thinking I must have yet another fever! I couldn't figure out what to wear to dinner#2 because it was so hot I just wanted to be naked. Ridiculous.

She's so glamerous.
I don't know what kind of crazy weather you Southern Ontarioians are having - it's been reasonably seasonal here.

I adore Cakes' wicked curls. Awesome!

And the weather? I'm about due for some nice crisp weather - the type that requires a warm sweater, a pair of mitts and a trip to an apple orchard for some warm cider.

Normally, I'd be with you on the weather, but yesterday pretty much killed me.

How cute is Cakes??

Two things: 1) Cakes is adorable; 2) Everyone stop complaining about the warm weather!!!!! It's going to turn pretty crappy and last a long time soon!

That hair!! I'm dying. So beautiful.

And it is still beach weather here, too. I kind of hate it. It never gets cold here, though.

Mexican and beers. I wish we were neighbours.

Gorgeous photo.
With that cuteness how can you get mad at the food chucking?
